ImageFIRST Puerto Rico Shares Industry Innovations

With consumerism on the rise within the healthcare industry as patients have more and more access to healthcare, the patient experience has become a key factor in the success of any medical facility. That, in turn, means that there have been a multitude of interesting innovations designed with the patient experience in mind.

For example, when the brand new Children’s Hospital of Michigan was built, its CEO, Larry Gold, stressed the importance of innovation and the patient experience in designing the facility. The technique used in the design process was called “integrated facility design”, and what it means in practice is that the most important factor for the design is to make sure the flow of patients is maximized. This is crucial to the patient experience as, obviously, the less time patients spend waiting, the better their experience. Among the innovations Gold says they pursued was a more simplified process for patient admittance to emergency care, meaning that nurses and doctors question the patient and family simultaneously rather than separately. Similarly, the “standard work procedure” process guarantees that all patients receive the same operation in the same way, regardless of the surgeon. The staff has also sought to perfect the frequency of patient appointments to make sure that children with their families don’t have to wait long amounts of time in waiting rooms full of other patients.

As we hope you know, we at ImageFIRST are dedicated to helping our client facilities improve their patient experience. A prime example of that is our Comfort Care Line, which wants to bring the same level of innovation to healthcare laundry products. There may be a level of discomfort related to a potentially uncomfortable procedure done, and we want to minimize that. That’s why the gowns in our Comfort Care Line have been designed to be luxuriously soft, almost like a soft cloud of coziness that patients can wrap themselves in to feel as comfortable at the facility as they would at home.

If you want to know more about the amazing things that our Comfort Care Line can do to make your patients feel at home in your facility, please don’t hesitate to contact us! Whether you’re looking for high-quality linen, patient gowns, scrubs or medical uniforms in Puerto Rico, we would love to help you.
